A Year In Review: Performance Tech Motorsports' Season Highlights
Performance Tech Motorsports has had a dynamic 2024 season in the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, with a roster that brought talent and tenacity to some of North America’s premier racing facilities.
Among their drivers, rookie Jordan Menzin made his entrance into the IMSA paddock after a season of testing his Ligier JSP320 LMP3 at various tracks with the team prior. Jordan showcased his impressive adaptability and skill as he tackled the season’s challenges race-by-race, and consistent dedication to testing and engineering, in effort to maximize his #18 machine. Menzin’s performance hinted at a bright future in motorsports as he navigated tracks like Mid-Ohio Sportscar Course, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, and Virginia International Raceway, with growing confidence and agility.
Team veteran Alex Kirby brought experience and consistency to the lineup, participating in a full season and claiming multiple podium finishes. Kirby’s accomplishments underscored his ability to excel under pressure and seasoned competitive edge. Alex’s expertise saw him reach the podium on multiple occasions, starting the season on a high note with a second-place finish at Daytona International Speedway. He navigated the twists and turns of each track earning himself back-to-back third-place finishes at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
Jonathan Woolridge also made a memorable impact on the team's 2024 pursuit, securing a third-place finish at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, and a second-place podium at his home track, Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, highlighting his excellent adaptability on both street circuits and road courses. Woolridge’s performances demonstrated his hard work and dedication to the sport as well as his potential, adding to the team's overall success. Racing alongside his teammates at select tracks, Woolridge’s consistency and skill showcased the depth of talent in the Performance Tech Motorsports 2024 lineup.
