Performance Tech Motorsports Wrap Up Opening Round of CUBE 3 Architecture TA2® Series

Performance Tech Motorsports has officially taken its first competitive laps in the CUBE 3 Architecture TA2® Series presented by Pirelli, marking an exciting new chapter for the team. The group is embracing the new challenge, and the opening round of the season at Sebring International Raceway yielded a great deal of knowledge and experience in regards to car development.

Stepping into the series with the #18 Ford Mustang, the team is focused on learning the intricacies of the TA2® platform while refining their approach to this fast-paced and talent-stacked championship. With decades of experience in endurance racing, Performance Tech Motorsports is embracing a new philosophy that balances their race-proven engineering expertise with the demands of sprint racing and close-quarters competition. The team has been working closely together to optimize the setup of their Mustang, ensuring they maximize performance while gathering valuable data.

“It’s a new adventure for us, and we’re excited about the challenge,” said Team Owner Brent O’Neill. “The cars are different from what we’ve run more recently, and we’re learning something every time we hit the track for another session. There are many different elements and components to take into account, with a lot of unique aspects, but we’re collectively committed to getting up to speed and figuring out the car quickly.”

“This series is very competitive, and that’s exactly why we want to be here,” O’Neill continued. “We know it’s going to take some time to fully acclimate, but we’re embracing every lesson along the way. Our goal is to develop a strong foundation and build towards better and better results. It’s all part of the process, but that’s what makes this journey so rewarding.”

As Performance Tech Motorsports continues to adapt to its new home in TA2®, the team remains dedicated to progress and development with each race weekend. With a determined approach and a commitment to growth, the group is looking forward to making its mark in one of the most competitive road racing series in North America.
