Performance Tech Motorsports Welcomes in Summer at The Glen

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (June 21, 2022) – Performance Tech Motorsports is welcoming in the summer session with the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen.

The No. 38 CardioAccess Ligier JSP320 is on route to Watkins Glen International for Round 3 of the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship. At the helm you’ll find Dan Goldburg, Rasmus Lindh and Cameron Shields, the teams endurance trio.

With grueling temperatures and the unknowns of endurance racing to consider Team Principal Brent O’Neill is confident in this lineups’ stamina and race craft as well as the fortitude of the car the crew has put together.

“Watkins Glen is a great track for prototypes, and we’ve had a lot of success here in the past,” O’Neill said. “We’ve won here and gotten a few poles, the most recent one last year with the No. 38 JSP320, so I know we can replicate that on the performance end, but The Glen is known for throwing curve balls at the machine and the drivers. We’ve prepared and optimized as much as we can, now it just comes down to the small percent of luck that can make or break a weekend.”

Drivers Goldburg, Lindh and Shields head into the weekend fueled by the immediate chemistry the triad shared during the Mobil 1 Twelves Hours of Sebring. The No. 38’s full season pairing of Goldburg and Lindh will use their shared experience at the track combined with this chemistry to get Watkins Glen International newcomer Shields up to speed. After a mechanical failure took them from the lead to third place at their last outing, the drivers are thirsty for victory champagne and are willing to do whatever it takes to taste it.

The weekend begins Friday, June 24 for the Deerfield based team and consists of two prolonged practices rather than three one-hour sessions as the series works to maximize the tire allotment for each team amidst a global shortage. Performance Tech Motorsports looks to use this to its advantage as it has years of data and notes to pull from negating the lessened track time. The Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen begins at 10:40 a.m. EDT on Sunday, June 26, and will be broadcast live on Peacock TV through its entirety and USA Network from 2:00-5:00 p.m. For ticket sales and event details visit: https://www.imsa.com/events/2022-sahlens-six-hours-of-the-glen/.
