Performance Tech Motorsports and Motel 6 Podium Push

Performance Tech Motorsports is headed home to Sebring International Raceway with its sight set on the podium.

The No. 6 Motel 6 Ligier JS P320 is set to come full circle this weekend during IMSA
Prototype Challenge
Round 2, the event and track where co-drivers Dan Goldburg, Delray Beach, and Rasmus Lindh, Gothenburg, Sweden, first joined forces during the 2020 season. The pair ended in sixth overall, a feat not to be overlooked having never driven together with Lindh having not touched an LMP3 car until Practice 1. Now, 8 months later, the veteran pair enters the weekend with one goal and one goal only; get Motel 6 its first IMSA Prototype Challenge win.

“It’s crazy to think we were at Sebring just a few months ago with Motel 6,” Team Principal Brent O’Neill said. “Since then, we’ve got them their first two podium finishes so now it’s time we lock down that win. We know we have the car and drivers to do it, we were a front runner at Daytona before we had the mechanical issue. This is Performance Tech’s home track, Dan’s home track and the first track Rasmus drove with us and Motel 6 at so to bring home the win here would be awesome.”

Driver Goldburg has countless hours at Sebring International Raceway under his belt in everything from open-cockpit prototypes and BMWs to most recently LMP3's. As one of the fastest starting drivers on the grid, this home-field advantage marks Goldburg as a prime competitor for the coveted pole position and front row start. His vast knowledge will also transfer to Lindh as they work to set up the car in harmony achieving the perfect balance of fast and consistent.

After being submerged in the prototype world at Sebring International Raceway during July’s event Lindh has made quite a splash in the ultra-competitive field. His knowledge of the Ligier JS P320 has grown deeply, surpassing most other drivers in the field, particularly regarding the inner mechanics of the machine. This high-level comprehension and uncanny driving technique are the final pieces needed to lock in the No. 6’s success.

The No. 6 Motel 6 Ligier JS P320 takes to the track Friday, March 12, for Practice 1 at 10:25 a.m. ET and Practice 2 at 3:15 p.m. The team returns to the track Saturday, March 13, for a thrilling day with Qualifying at 9:40 a.m. followed by IMSA Prototype Challenge Round 2 at 3:35 p.m. ET.
