CSCI Construction Steps up to the Plate to Back Goldbrug and Lindh

Performance Tech Motorsports drivers Dan Goldburg and Rasmus Lindh join forces again, but this time with a new look driving the No. 19 CSCI Construction Ligier LMP3.

The IMSA Prototype Challenge Paddock warmly welcomes the addition of the No. 19 as it brings the ultra-competitive car count up to 14 for Round 4. Goldburg and Lindh competed in Round 2 and Round 3 in the No. 6 Motel 6 Ligier LMP3, however, this is their first weekend as planned teammates in the CSCI Construction machine. With a third entry available to the team Goldburg’s recent results made the transition an easy choice.

“Dan and Rasmus have clicked right from the start,” Team Principal Brent O’Neill said. “When we realized we had the bandwidth to run three cars again, it was a no-brainer for me to put them in the No. 19. They finished second at Road America and are consistently one of the fastest Ligiers so I’m excited to see what this weekend has in store.”

Goldburg is a veteran to Performance Tech Motorsports and the IMSA Prototype Challenge paddock. He showcases his experience through his on-track performances making the start of every race exciting. Goldburg’s continued fight boosted him into fourth in the overall points championship with first place a mere 13 points ahead. He looks to close the points gap this weekend with the help of Lindh.

“I've learned a lot this season about the cars, the series, and what it takes to finish well,” Goldburg said.  “After the 2nd place finish at Road America, I am now sitting 4th in the points. Additionally, Rasmus and I have been one of, if not the fastest Ligier at the last two events. My goal at this time is to be on that podium again for the remaining events of the season. If that isn't feasible due to the differences in the Ligier and Norma then we want to be the top finishing Ligier. To achieve those goals, I have to put what I've learned into practice, as well as everyone on the team executing their roles properly as well.  It's a beautiful thing when it all comes together and that is the goal.”

Lindh made his debut in IMSA Prototype Challenge during Round 2 at Sebring International Raceway. His resume is littered almost entirely with open wheel, open cockpit racing making his smooth transition all the more impressive. His can-do attitude and willingness to learn made him an easy fit for both Goldburg and the Performance Tech family.

“I’m really looking forward to working more with Dan,” Lindh said. “We are working really good together and I think we will have more podiums this year. I’m also really looking forward to this weekend. I have never raced at VIR. I have been looking at lots of data from past years and onboard footage so I will be prepared for the race.”

The race weekend begins Friday, Aug. 21, with Practice One at 1:35 p.m. ET. Saturday, Aug. 22, the series starts the day early with Practice Two at 8:50 a.m., followed by qualifying at 11:20 a.m. Race day is Sunday, Aug. 23. The green flag for Round 3 drops at 9:35 a.m. with the checkered flag scheduled for 11:20 a.m. The race is streamed live on IMSA.tv and the NBC TrackPass.
