Performance Tech Motorsports’ John and Kelly DeAngelis Launch Silent Auction for 2020 Heart Ball

Amidst the chaos of a global pandemic lies the ongoing battle against heart and brain health; Heart Ball Chairs John and Kelly DeAngelis are fighting back with a silent auction in conjunction with the American Heart Association.

For John and Kelly DeAngelis holding the role of the Southwest Florida 2020 Heart Ball Chairs is part of their family's journey. The DeAngelises’ youngest daughter and Heart Hero Zara was born with a congenital heart defect. Zara has already undergone multiple open-heart surgeries with many more on the horizon.

Inspired by their family’s path thus far the DeAngelises partnered with the American Heart Association, the leading voluntary health organization focused on heart and brain health for all, to raise awareness and funds for research so every Heart Hero can live full and healthy lives. The silent auction beginning at 6:00 p.m. ET tonight, Thursday, April 16 is another steppingstone in their story.

As the current state of events continues to be fluid the DeAngelises have worked with the American Heart Association to create the first of its kind virtual silent auction leading up to the ball. Starting tonight at 6:00 p.m. ET the public is welcome to join the auction featuring a variety of vacation packages, golf outings, spa gift packages, and experiences to look forward to during these difficult times. The auction will end Saturday, April 18 at 9:00 p.m. with winners being announced thereafter.

The 2020 Heart Ball was originally scheduled for March 28 and was expected to bring in over one million dollars for research, specifically for children suffering from congenital heart defects.

With new social gathering guidelines in place due to COVID-19, the 2020 Heart Ball has been rescheduled for May 15. In response to the need for research, the Association will offer more than $2.5 million in grants for research related to the impact of cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, and previous stroke on those who contract the coronavirus.
