It’s satisfying watching the whole organization grow and our guys grow with it. Young drivers and gentleman drivers have become successful at something they love doing. That’s not just driver success; that’s my team succeeding, as well.
— Team Owner, Brent O'Neill

Brent O’Neill founded Performance Tech Motorsports in 1982 with the goal to help drivers become more competitive and move up the racing ladder, based on his experience as a driver and team manager in more than three decades in International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) – sanctioned sports car racing.

Performance Tech Motorsports-prepared cars and drivers are racing in the LMP2 class of North America’s premier sports car series, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the IMSA Prototype Challenge series, IMSA’s official Development Series that grooms drivers for Prototype competition in the WeatherTech Championship.

Performance Tech has won numerous championships and titles under the IMSA banner. Most recently, Performance Tech Motorsports won the IMSA MICHELIN Endurance Cup Championship and the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, both for the second time.

O’Neill and his crew have built Performance Tech into a powerful, efficient racing organization through talent, desire and extensive motorsports management experience. Performance Tech’s drivers, team and sponsor partners, also are aided by cutting-edge planning and execution in engineering, vehicle enhancement, program management, logistics and at-track support to help reach the finish line first, on and off the track.
